Policies & governance, published openly
Governance is not a formality — it is the foundation of safe, consistent and accountable care. We publish our core policies, service statements and research so providers, commissioners and the people we support can see exactly how we work.
Structured oversight, clear accountability, evidence-based practice
We combine structured oversight, clear accountability and evidence-based practice to keep services safe, effective and responsive — especially in complex, high-risk settings. The documents below demonstrate our commitment to transparency, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
Safe
Risk is identified, assessed and managed with clear lines of escalation.
Accountable
Named responsibility at every level, from frontline to board.
Accessible
Easy Read versions so people we support can read them too.
Improving
Complaints, incidents and feedback feed directly into practice.
Core public policies
Adult Safeguarding Policy
Safeguarding is central to our approach, ensuring adults and children are protected from harm, abuse and neglect — proactive, embedded in practice and supported by strong governance and partnership working.
Complaints Policy
We treat complaints as an important source of feedback and improvement. The process is clear, accessible and responsive, and learning from complaints is used to strengthen service delivery and outcomes.
Privacy Policy
We handle personal information lawfully, securely and transparently, in line with data protection legislation. Information is used only where necessary to support care, with safeguards against misuse or unauthorised access.
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy
We promote equality, value diversity and ensure inclusive practice across all services. Individuals are treated with dignity and respect regardless of background or identity, with fair access to responsive care.
Duty of Candour Statement
We are committed to openness and honesty when things go wrong. Incidents are communicated appropriately to individuals and stakeholders, with a focus on learning, accountability and improving practice.
Whistleblowing Policy
Staff can raise concerns about poor practice or risk without fear. Clear processes support confidential reporting and appropriate investigation, promoting transparency and continuous improvement.
Capacity and Consent Policy
How we support people to make informed decisions in line with the Mental Capacity Act — how capacity is assessed, consent obtained and best interest decisions made, delivering care in the least restrictive way.
Recruitment Policy
How we recruit and select staff safely, fairly and transparently — robust vetting, safer recruitment practices and pre-employment checks so we appoint competent, values-driven people.
Medicines Management
Safe handling, administration and management of medicines — clear procedures for storage, recording, administration and auditing that reduce the risk of error and support safe, effective care.
CQC Statement of Purpose
Our regulated activities, service user groups and how we deliver safe, effective and compliant care in line with regulatory requirements.
